These days we are getting messages of concern about the continuing incidents of theft that are occurring with some consistency in our town and in neighboring countries. The concern is completely legitimate but should not lead to excessive and dangerous reactions. The round, which begins for many to be the only good solution is to be taken, if any, considered only after covering all institutional channels and activated. Citizens have the right to be protected and bodies that should ensure this right must work as better. Unfortunately, we could see what the next few days to several incidents of theft was the absolute normality. It seemed that nothing had happened.
Our group had already raised the alarm when, after (the first) a theft at the bar, had shown no investigation really was not playing that night despite some had seen something very strange. The story is also repeated later when, in stealing another bar (the second), were not listen to people who have house next door! Nothing at all, not even a day goes by and talk about it.
Based on these considerations, and the first to announce the initiatives that the minority group will take on the issue in question, it should have a premise: our group will not use the current state of insecurity in the country to attack the Mayor and the administration that are not at all responsible for what happens! For these reasons we intend to bring into question at the next council a proposal which the Mayor to actively engage in all possible ways to push for greater police presence on the territory. Obviously we are aware that this is not the solution to all evils but it is a necessary step! We also active as a citizen and ask, with a petition or a public event, the intervention of the competent bodies. In all likelihood, the authors of the theft are still the same and most likely the ease with which they managed to commit a crime brings them to repeat the episodes. Against this, the greater commitment of the institutions can act as a deterrent.
It 'clear that the problem is serious and affects us all. At stake are not only money and material things, but there is a risk of something very dangerous. So the issue should be treated with absolute sobriety from everyone and in this sense, the minority group will act!
